Honestly, does Gunpowder Milkshake doesn’t need any explanation. All you need to know is that Angela Bassett, Michelle Yeoh, Carla Gugino, Karen Gillan and Lena Headey kick some major ass. Seriously.
I will spend my coin to see Bassett and Yeoh as a dymanic duo kicking ass in a diner whilst wearing retro garb and sensible shoes but also I wanna shout out Gillan — who is majorly underrated as Nebula in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (you can actually hear me talk about it on a recent episode of Black Series Rebels podcast). Also, I want to give her flowers for the gone-too-soon Selfie in which she starred opposite John Cho.
The official logline is: “Three generations of women fight back against those who could take everything from them in the mother of all action movies.”
Navot Papushado directs Gunpowder Milkshake from a script written by Navot Papushado and Ehud Lavski. The movie also stars Paul Giamatti, Chloe Coleman, Ralph Ineson, Adam Nagaitis, and Michael Smiley.
