Jennifer Beals, known for her iconic roles in Flashdance and The L Word, has been confirmed to be playing Twi’lek in the Disney+ series The Book of Boba Fett. Although specifics about her character are still widely unknown, fans and viewers are buzzing with excitement.
The trailer for the newest addition to the Star Wars franchise was released on Monday and is a spin-off of The Mandalorian. The Book of Boba Fett will premiere on December 29 and follows the legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand returning to the sands of Tatooine to claim the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate. Temuera Morrison will be reprising the role of Boba Fett, who he portrayed in the 2004 re-release of The Empire Strikes Back and the second season of The Mandalorian. Ming-Na Wen, who voiced the Disney Princess Mulan, plays Fennec Shand who was featured in both The Mandalorian and The Bad Batch.
The Book of Boba Fett, which was originally teased after the credits of the second season finale of The Mandalorian, will be executive produced by Robert Rodriguez, Jon Favreau, and Dave Filoni.
