Janet Jackson is finally getting a platform to speak on her terms after being done dirty for years… decades even.

For the past three years, the icon has been filming a documentary and now, the four-hour event documentary series appropriately titled Janet Jackson will debut on Lifetime and A&E on January 28.

The intimate portrait of Jackson includes her untold story via exclusive archival footage, home videos and interviews with notable names who have worked with the legend including Missy Elliott, Whoopi Goldberg, Mariah Carey, Samuel L. Jackson, Ciara and more.

The release of the docuseries comes after FX released The New York Times Presents: Malfunction: The Undressing of Janet Jackson  which revisits that Super Bowl moment and how EVERYONE put a scarlet letter on the pop star and made us reevaluate our feelings about Justin Timberlake (for the record, he still needs to be put in his place).
