Bleecker Street has dropped the first trailer for the Abi Damaris Corbin-directed Breaking starring John Boyega, Michael Kenneth Williams, Nicole Beharie, Connie Britton, Olivia Washington, and Selenis Leyva — and my oh my it looks like an emotional journey.
Co-written by Corbin & Kwame Kwei-Armah, Breaking premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival as 892. Bleecker Street will release the movie in theaters on August 26.
Based on the real-life story of Marine Veteran Brian Brown-Easley, follows him as he becomes financially desperate after being denied support from Veterans Affairs. As he runs out of options, he takes a bank and several of its employees hostage, setting the stage for a tense confrontation with the police.
