The almighty algorithm put this video of legends Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, and Linda Ronstadt singing Neil Young’s “After the Gold Rush” on The Late Show with David Letterman on March 24, 1999:

It’s one of Young’s best songs (of many). The harmonies are so delicious and crystalline and it fuels my soul.

Parton, Harris, and Ronstadt are the Voltron of folk country rock music, having collaborated on their first joint album Trio in 1987. It was so good that the icons decided to do it again for a follow-up in 1999 titled Trio II and one of the standout tracks was — you guessed it — their iteration (with a few lyric tweaks) of “After the Gold Rush”.

I hope you have this on repeat all day.
