The L.A. cinematic institution Vidiots is celebrating it’s 40th anniversary with a special screening of Clue, the iconic Jonathan Lynn-directed whodunit from 1985 — featuring screen legends Michael McKean (aka Mr. Greeen) and Colleen Camp (aka Yvette) in person on November 14.
Come dressed as your favorite dinner guest and arrive early for to experience Vidiots as it will be transform into a Clue-themed spectacular with giveaways, specialty drinks, and free popcorn and soda.
The film will be screened twice each with a different surprise ending — just like moviegoing audiences experienced in 1985! Come for one… or both!
The movie based on the classic board game has become a pop culture institution and in addition to legends Michael McKean and Colleen Camp, it also stars icons Christopher Lloyd, Madeline Kahn, Tim Curry, Eileen Brennan, Leslie Ann Warren, and Martin Mull. Clue was released nine years after another murder mystery titled Murder By Death starring Truman Capote, Alec Guinness, Peter Sellers, Peter Falk, Elsa Lanchester, Maggie Smith, and — Eileen Brennan as well! The two have been compared to each other but it is clear that Clue was an improvement because if you’ve seen Murder By Death, it has some major problems (and I talked about it with Peppermint on Problematic Fave).
