When it comes to to the Film Independent Spirit Awards, all you need to know is that Chloe Zhao’s Nomadland got some flowers as did Riz Ahmed’s Sound of Metal. Shout out to Michaela Coel’s I May Destroy You for getting the love it deserves. Regina King’s directorial debut One Night In Miami also snatched a trophy for the Robert Altman Award.

But let’s be honest, Yuh-Jung Youn’s win for Minari is the most major win of the night. It’s just paving the way for the queen to win an Oscar on Sunday.
