Co-created by Sierra Teller Ornelas (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Superstore), Ed Helms (of The Office fame) and Michael Schur (mastermnind behind The Good Place and Parks and Recreation), Rutherford Falls is now available to watch in its entirety on Peacock — and I am living for it.

The comedy follows two lifelong best friends, Nathan Rutherford (Helms) and Reagan Wells (breakout star and the hilarious queen Jana Schmieding), who find themselves at a crossroads–quite literally–when their sleepy town gets an unexpected wakeup call. Nathan is a descendant of the town’s founder who takes pride in his family’s history; and Reagan is a member of the Minishonka Nation, who has dreams of championing her own history. From there, things get wonderfully complicated. The series also stars Ed Helms Michael Greyeyes (I Know This Much Is True), Jesse Leigh (Heathers) and Dustin Milligan (Schitt’s Creek).

The new series puts an Indigenous narrative in the forefront — a voice that is wildly underrepresented (and has been misrepresented) in film and TV for decades.

Robin Thede and her crew are ready to bring us a brand spankin’ new season of A Black Lady Sketch Show.

The sophomore season of the Emmy-nominated sketch show picks up where it left off with its first season with hilarious experiences in a magical reality that subverts traditional expectations — all with a core cast of Black women . Joining the cast for season two are featured players Laci Mosley and Skye Townsend, plus returning core cast members Robin Thede, Gabrielle Dennis and Ashley Nicole Black.

The new season drops today on HBO and HBO Max. Watch the trailer below.

Also opening in theaters and hitting HBO Max is the bloody and brutal action pic Mortal Kombat — and this is a far cry from the 1995 adaptation of the iconic video game. Although, the movie still has that “Get over here!” vibe complete with fatalities that will make you giggle with sociopathic delight!

And shout out to the majority Asian cast that includes Lewis Tan, Joe Taslim, Tadanobu Asano, Hiroyuki Sanada, Ludi Lin, Chin Han and Max Huang as well as POC actors Mehcad Brooks and and Sisi Stringer.  We love to see it.

And last but certainly not least, the season 13 finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race airs tonight and my money is on Symone or Gottmik. The fact that they filmed this entire — and what seemed like endless season during the pandemic is remarkable.

But no matter who wins, we leave this season with so many gag-worthy moments. Nonetheless, good luck…and don’t fuck it up!
