We are not really familiar with Japanese-British pop star Rina Sawayama, but based on our preliminary research and the picture above, we are all for her joining Keanu Reeves in the upcoming John Wick: Chapter 4.

Deadline reports that Sawayama will be making her feature acting debut in the forthcoming installment of the Lionsgate shoot-em-up, bone-breaking, martial arts bonkers extravaganza. No word yet on her role, but we hope that her character isn’t tertiary and she gets time to shine because from the looks of it, she can slay. Also, she is super excited about the role based on her Instagram.

That said, there will be two actors of Asian descent leading the upcoming installment of John Wick. Yes, Reeves is of Asian /Pacific Islander descent so we took him in the racial draft.

Sawayama was born in Japan and raised in North London. She is a smarty pants as she studied  Cambridge University where she studied politics, psychology and sociology. She became a pop sensation with singles including XS, Comme des Garçons, and her duet with Elton John, Chosen Family. She is set to launch her first world tour later this year.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is being directed by Chad Stahelski from script by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch. Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Stahelski are producing, with Reeves and Louise Rosner the executive producers. The project kicks off this summer and will shoot on location in France, Germany and Japan.
