One of the most fierce warriors of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is getting her own show. Dora Milaje General and overall badass Okoye is set to have her own spinoff series at Disney+.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a deal was brokered by Jamie Mandelbaum for actress Danai Gurira to not only reprise her role in the upcoming Ryan Coogler sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever but also an origin story for the fierce Wakandan, wig-snatching warrior.

No further details have been given about the series. However, as Deadline reported in February, this is part of Coogler’s relationship with the Walt Disney Company which made a five-year overall exclusive television deal with the Black Panther director’s production banner Proximity Media, which he runs with Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, Ludwig Göransson, Archie Davis and Peter Nicks.

We are just happy that this series is in development because Gurira and Okoye deserve!
