Here’s a story…of a draggy lady…who starred in a special crossover event titled Dragging the Classics: The Brady Bunch.
Let me explain.
So Paramount+ and MTV Entertainment Studios are doing the most this morning with their news. First off, Paramount+ is set to drop a special event to close out Pride Month titled Dragging the Classics: The Brady Bunch on June 30 on the streamer. In the spirit of ABC’s Live in Front of a Studio Audience series — but a lot more fabulous and campy — Dragging the Classics will reunite original cast members of The Brady Bunch alongside RuPaul’s Drag Race faves as they recreate the iconic episode, “Will the Real Jan Brady Please Stand Up?” for an innovative, one-of-a-kind event that uses state-of-the-art technology to transport the cast into the original Brady house. That said, you better prepare some pork chops and apple sauce for this. This is going to be incredible.
Coming back from the OG Brady Bunch cast will include Christopher Knight and Mike Lookinland reprising their roles as the Brady boys Peter and Bobby respectively. Barry Williams who originally played brother Greg will now portray Brady patriarch Mike. Meanwhile, Eve Plumb will not be reprising her role as Jan Bardy. Instead she will step into the role of Lucy, the host of the party in which Jan reveals her new self. Susan Olsen, who played Cindy Brady, will instead play Margie — the gal who has the hots for Peter.
Now for the rest of the cast — which is going to be AMAZING. Kylie Sonique Love (All Stars 6, Drag Race season 2) will play the coveted role of Jan Brady while All Stars 5 winner Shea Couleé will play Marcia, Marcia, Marcia Brady. Terminally delightful BenDeLaCreme (All Stars 3, Drag Race season 6) will step out of drag to play Greg Brady while Kandy Muse (Drag Race season 13) and Nina West (Drag Race season 11) will be featured as Cindy Brady and Alice respectively.
As an added bonus, RuPaul herself will make a special appearance as the Wig Attendant and Drag Race judge Michelle Visage will appear as Helen.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Paramount+ threw in a special treat for fans with this first act sneak peek at RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 6 which features all the entrance lewks from A’Keria C. Davenport (season 11), Eureka! (season 9,10), Ginger Minj (season 7, All Stars 2), Jan (season 12), Jiggly Caliente (season 4), Pandora Boxx (season 2, All Stars 1), Ra’Jah O’Hara (season 11), Scarlet Envy (season 11), Serena ChaCha (season 5), Silky Nutmeg Ganache (season 11), Kylie Sonique Love (season 2), Trinity K. Bonet (season 6), and Yara Sofia (season 3, All Stars 1).
