The USA Network‘s critically acclaimed and Emmy-nominated The Sinner executive produced by Jessica Biel is back for a fourth season and based on the trailer, it is a paranoid ride of trauma and thrills…and that’s EXACTLY what we want, right?

The new eight-episode season of The Sinner is set to premiere on October 13 at 10pm ET/PT.

The Sinner will feature Cindy Cheung (The Flight Attendant) and Ronin Wong (The Man in the High Castle) as the first Asian actors to be cast as series regulars on the crime anthology. In addition, David Huynh (Baby) will recur.

The new season follows the now-retired Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) who is still reeling from the trauma of a previous case a year ago. He travels to Hanover Island in northern Maine for a recuperative getaway with his partner, Sonya (Jessica Hecht). When an unexpected tragedy occurs involving the daughter of a prominent island family, Ambrose is recruited to help the investigation, only to be thrown into a mystery of mounting paranoia that will turn this sleepy tourist island, and Ambrose’s life, upside down.

The Sinner cast also includes Frances Fisher, Alice Kremelberg, Neal Huff, and Michael Mosley.

From UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, Derek Simonds serves as showrunner and executive producer, alongside executive producers Jessica Biel and Michelle Purple through their production company, Iron Ocean. Charlie Gogolak, Adam Bernstein and Nina Braddock also serve as executive producers.
