The new trailer for Joel Coen’s The Tragedy of Macbeth doesn’t have much dialogue. However, stars Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand‘s presence alone says, “Give me another Oscar.”

Chances are you read Macbeth in high school or college so I really don’t have to explain to you what it’s about. Hell, I just know it’s about about power and there are three witches — which we see in the trailer (Watch it above).

The A24 film is set to open the New York Film Festival this Friday before hitting theaters on December 25 and Apple TV+ on January 25. The adaptation is described as “bold and fierce” and tells the the tale of “murder, madness, and ambition”.

The film also stars Bertie Carvel, Alex Hassell, Corey Hawkins, Harry Melling, Brendan Gleeson, Moses Ingram, and Kathryn Hunter. Check out the Basquiat-esque poster below.
