VH1 and Paramount+ are about to make this holiday season a whole lot more sickening and draggier with not one, not two, but three RuPaul’s Drag Race universe events.
On December 2, VH1 will “Ruveal” the cast of season 14 of the Emmy-award winning RuPaul’s Drag Race at 8pm ET/PT. The sneak peek will air alongside the world premiere of Paramount+’s international drag singing competition, Queen of The Universe. The night will be bookended with the debut of VH1’s original holiday film starring the queen herself RuPaul in The Bitch Who Stole Christmas at 9 pm ET/PT.
It will be a gay holiday season indeed.
All the queens from Drag Race season 14 will be announced on VH1 during the linear sneak peek with the current reigning Drag Race queen, Symone. A premiere date for the new season will be announced at a later date.
Queen of the Universe brings together 14 of the world’s fiercest queens as they vie for the title of “Queen of the Universe” and a cash prize of $250,000. Each episode will showcase the contestants’ vocal prowess as they debut a new musical performance in front of a live audience and a “Pop Diva Panel” of judges including Vanessa Williams, Michelle Visage, Trixie Mattel and Leona Lewis. Graham Norton serves as host.
The Bitch Who Stole Christmas is the draggiest Christmas movie ever made. The VH1 movie follows a workaholic big-city fashion journalist is sent to a Christmas-obsessed small town to dig up a story when she finds herself in the middle of cut-throat housewives, a high-stakes “Winter Ball” competition, and a sinister plot that could destroy Christmas fore-evah! In addition to RuPaul, the movie features Krysta Rodriguez, Andy Ridings, Michelle Visage, Ginger Minj, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Peppermint, Jan, Jaymes Mansfield, Latrice Royale, Gottmik, Morgan McMichaels, Porkchop, Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews, Chad Michaels, Heidi N Closet, Kelly Mantle, Kimora Blac, Laganja Estranja, Manila Luzon, Mayhem Miller, Pandora Boxx, Raven, Rock M. Sakura, Kylie Sonique Love, Kim Petras, Charo, and Anna Maria Horsford.
