After making its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival this summer and garnering acclaim and awards, the Suzanne Joe Kai-directed documentary Like a Rolling Stone: The Life and Times of Ben Fong-Torres kicks off its theatrical run starting today at the Laemmle Monica Film Center in Santa Monica.

The film paints a portrait of Fong-Torres, a pioneering Asian American journalist who was instrumental in the careers of many iconic music legends. It was no secret that every rock/pop/soul music act of the ’70s yearned to be on the cover of the iconic magazine and be interviewed by Fong-Torres.
