Nicole Byer and Lauren Lapkus are set to voice lead roles in a new animated adult comedy series on Netflix. In Bad Crimes, Kara (Byer) and Jennie (Lapkus) are two FBI agents who travel across the country solving crimes while also juggling friendship, dating, and their career ambitions.

Created by Nicole Silverberg, known for her writing on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, Bad Crimes is described as a 10-episode dark comedy procedural and is sure to be a humorous addition to the recent boom in adult animation. Silverberg, Byer, and Lapkus all serve as executive producers along with Mike Judge and Greg Daniels (co-creators of King of the Hill) and Erica Hayes (the first female director for Rick and Morty).

Both Byers and Lapkus have already worked with Netflix with Byer hosting the competition series Nailed It since its debut (earning two Emmy nominations) and Lapkus starring in Orange Is the New Black. The two also hosted the podcast Newcomers, where they watch and discuss pop culturally significant movies they have never seen including the Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Fast and the Furious franchises.
