The RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise continues to grow as VH1 has renewed the tentpole reality competition and its soapy backstage aftershow RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked — and why wouldn’t they? Drag Race is nominated for 11 Emmy awards across the franchise this year.

The forthcoming 15th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, will introduce a new group of sickening queens in a season which includes the landmark 200th episode!

“When I hear season 15 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, I have to pinch myself – I just won’t tell you where,” said six-time Emmy-winning host and Executive Producer, RuPaul. “We never take for granted the opportunity we’ve been given to showcase drag excellence and tell authentic queer stories. Thank you to the fans, World of Wonder, VH1, our cast and crew, and most of all, our brave and beautiful queens.”

ICYMI: the season 14 grand finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race saw the final five queens, Angeria Paris VanMichaels, Bosco, Daya Betty, Lady Camden and Willow Pill go head-to-head for the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar.” Willow Pill was crowned winner and Kornbread was named “Miss Congeniality.” The season also garnered some viewership milestones including the premiere, which marked the show’s highest rated debut since 2018.

Also, I was in the audience in Vegas when Willow Pill was crowned. I also enjoyed her performance.

If you’re in L.A. this August, you can strut down to Carrera Cafe to visit the RuPaul’s Drag Race mural from artist Richard Henderson. The cafe will have special RuPaul’s Drag Race coffee topper promotions along with coffee cup sleeves for a limited time. Fans can upload their photo, story or reel across social media platforms using the hashtag #DragRaceFYCMural and tag @RuPaulsDragRace and @lalgbtcenter. For each post with the hashtag and tags, VH1 will make a donation to the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

And since season 15 won’t debut for a while, you can quench your Drag Race thirst with RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race every Friday night at 8pm ET/PT on VH1. Filmed in front of a live studio audience, nine celebrities from all walks of life have agreed to leave their famous identities behind as they fully embrace the miracle of drag. Each week the celebs will compete in an epic lipsync showdown – the best queens will move on and the bottom two queens will lipsync for their lives sending one celebrity home. The contestants will be mentored by “Queen Supremes” Brooke Lynn Hytes, Jujubee, and Monét X Change. Additional Drag Race legends set to make special appearances this season include Eureka, Gottmik, Katya, Morgan McMichaels, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, and Violet Chachki. RuPaul returns as host alongside resident judges Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, and Ross Mathews.

And if you missed season 14, there will be a marathon viewing event on August 15 (that’s tonight!), starting at 9pm ET/PT on Logo.

RuPaul’s Drag Race, RuPaul’s Drag Race Untucked, and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars are produced by World of Wonder Productions.
