I think Jenna Ortega was born to play Wednesday Addams.

The new teaser trailer for the forthcoming Netflix series Wednesday is giving early era Tim Burton (who is executive producer and director) and I couldn’t be more excited because it looks fun as hell.

The new series features Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Isaac Ordonez as Gomez Addams, Morticia Addams, and Pugsley Addams respectively.

Wednesday follows the titular Addams Family character as a student at Nevermore Academy, where she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the murder mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.

The series also features Gwendoline Christie, Jamie McShane, Percy Hynes White, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Naomi J Ogawa, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Riki Lindhome, and… Christina Ricci — who played Wednesday Addams in the films! (She plays someone else, though).

Alfred Gough & Miles Millar serve as showrunners, writers and executive producers alonside Burton, Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman (1.21 Entertainment), Kevin Miserocchi (Tee and Charles Addams Foundation), Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman (Glickmania), Gail Berman, Tommy Harper, and Kevin Lafferty.
