Daniel Dae Kim and Ken Jeong are teaming for a half-hour dramedy titled Shoot the Moon at Amazon. The Notorious D.D.K. is set to produce while The Masked Singer godfather is attached to star.

Deadline exclusively reported that Shoot the Moon will be a single-camera project loosely inspired by the “life failures” of Paul Bae, a former high school English teacher and stand-up comedian who created The Black Tapes podcast series.

A former evangelical youth pastor, Bae married his college sweetheart. Things started to shift after he divorced his wife and turned to atheism. From here, he stumbled into a journey with his friends and family back to wholeness.

Jeong will step into the role of Michael a son of Korean immigrants who has achieved the American Dream and suddenly finds it illusory when his marriage and career fall apart, propelling him on a quest to reevaluate and rebuild his life.
