Nicole Kidman as Lucille Ball alongside Javier Bardem stars as Desi Arnaz  in Being the Ricardos, a film written and directed by Aaron Sorkin. Being the Ricardos follows Arnaz and Ball through a tumultuous week during the production of I Love Lucy, as events in their personal lives threaten their romantic and professional relationships. As they create the episode “Fred and Ethel Fight,” Ball became involved in an investigation by the House Un-American Activities Committee for affiliations with Communism at the same time as a tabloid publishes a salacious cover story on Arnaz.

The autobiographical drama offers an inside look inside the life of one of television’s most iconic couples, who made history with one of the first interracial kisses on television. Being the Ricardos also stars Alia Shawkat, Tony Hale, J.K. Simmons and Nina Adriana. The film opens in theaters on December 10 before debuting on Prime Video on December 11.
