Jean Elie and Mike Gauyo‘s comedy Send Help is getting some — well — help.

The new dark comedy for AllBlk’s streaming service has added Karina Bonnefil (Snowfall), Catfish Jean (To Leslie), Courtney Taylor (Insecure), and up-and-coming actor Ana Bowen have all signed on as main characters, Deadline reports.

Send Help is about a Haitian American actor named Fritz Jean-Baptiste, who stars in the fictional hit television series This Can’t Be Us. Living on the high of stardom, Fritz declines career opportunities in favor of living a bachelor lifestyle until a family tragedy causes his life to unravel.

Elie stars as Fitz, with Bonnefil playing Fitz’s mother Misha Jean-Baptiste. Taylor and Jean are cast as Fritz’s best friends, Nicole Cooper and Patrick Cantave, respectively. Bown plays Fritz’s niece, Mac Levine.

While the series is still in production, it’s slated to have a seven-episode first season directed by Stewart Yost, who also directed Guardians of Justice

Gauyo and Elie serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Melissa Llewellyn-Alston, Matt Hoklotubbe, Michael J. McGarry, and Francesa Smith are also producers.

Send Help is expected to premiere this fall.
