Grace Edwards and Tina Fey are working together on the new series The Wolves of 125th Street.
As Deadline exclusively reported, Peacock is developing the half-hour comedy about three Black best friends on a journey to open a dispensary in Harlem. With the city quickly gentrifying, the friends set out to stake their claim in the industry while also giving previously incarcerated Harlemites a shot at a second chance.
The Wolves of 125th Street was created by Edwards, who also serves as executive producer along with Fey, whose production company Little Stranger took on the project. This is the third time the duo has collaborated, as Edwards worked on both Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Mr. Mayor, which were co-created by Fey.
Edwards’ writing credits are extensive, including HBO’s Insecure, Hulu’s Dollface, AMC’s Kevin Can F**k Himself, and Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer. She is the creator and executive producer of Jodie, a spinoff of the iconic MTV animated series Daria. She is also the co-host of The Antidote podcast with her fellow Insecure alum Amy Aniobi.
