The Marvel Studios panel at Hall H ended with a wave of emotion as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler took the dais to give us that trailer all of us were waiting for — and it did not disappoint.

It’s that rendition of “No Woman No Cry” for me.

The Wakanda Forever presentation included a live performance by Baaba Maal (vocals), Massamba Diop (tama) and dancers and drummers. Coogler presented the trailer with Marvel Godfather Kevin Feige as well as cast members Mabel Cadena, Michaela Cole, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Tenoch Huerta, Florence Kasumba, Alex Livinalli, Lupita Nyong’o, Dominique Thorne and Letitia Wright.

Also, can we just take a moment to recognize this is the first glimpse of Tenoch Huerta as Namor in Atlantis as well as Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams (aka Ironheart)? I mean, the nods to African, Polynesian and Indigenous cultures in this is stunning. And can we please have Keke Palmer re-enact Angela Bassett’s monologue as Queen Ramonda in this trailer?

In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Queen Ramonda (Bassett), Shuri (Wright), M’Baku (Duke), Okoye (Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livanalli.

Feige also shared that the film is the final title in Phase 4 of the MCU. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever November 11.
