Banned Books Week was launched in 1982 and with all that is happening in 2025, it is hyper-relevant today. Normally held during the last week of September or first week of October, the annual event will be held October 5-11 this year and gives shine to the liberties of of the freedom of speech and open access books, media, information, and the liberties to share, seek,and express ideas. And most of all, it’s a time to celebrate librarians, educators, authors, publishers, booksellers, and readers of all kinds who support!
